Victoria’s Secret Catwalk Show
Some call it The Greatest Show On Earth! Well here it is!
The models were tasked with strutting their stuff down the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Show in the dazzling $2 million Dream Angels Fantasy Bras.
And Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima certainly did the extraordinary items justice as they took to the catwalk at London’s Earl’s Court on Tuesday evening for the lavish event.
The stunning Brazilian models earned their money’s worth as they displayed the skimpy and elaborate creations, revealing their slender and shapely figures for the eager audience.
Each of this year’s designs was made by Mouawad jewelers using 16,000 rubies, diamonds and sapphires, all of which are strung together with 18 karat gold. The ornate ensembles took the designers more than 1,380 hours to make.

The highlight of the annual Victoria’s Secret catwalk event is always the reveal of the Fantasy Bra, of which this year there were two, each of them designed and made by Mouawad for the lingerie brand.
Adriana, 33, wore the blue and silver version of the swanky lingerie, her toned body bedecked in intricate jewellery across her decolletage, down her torso and also over her slim hips.
Alessandra, also 33, had the pleasure of wearing the red bra, and was covered in even more body jewellery than her colleague, accentuating her enviably trim shape, flat stomach and muscular yet lean thighs.
Four million dollar babes: Adriana and Alessandra have each been Victoria’s Secret Angels for years, and proved their worth at the 2014 show
Lucky man! Ed Sheeran got to perform alongside the ladies as they stepped out in the custom-made bras, designed by Mouawad
Brazilian goddess: Alessandra, 33, looked more glorious than ever in the red, glitzy item and flowing red cape behind her, as she revealed her impressively toned thighs
Showing off: Adriana wowed in royal blue, which contrasted greatly against Alessandra’s red outfit
Each of the women – who have been Victoria’s Secret Angels for years (Adriana since 2000, Alessandra since 2004) – were adorned with large, flowing capes matching the colour of their underwear, adding to the drama of the moment.
The colleagues and friends wore their tresses in similar styles, both of them with their manes styled effortlessly into loose, open curls, glamorously cascading over their shoulders.
Ed Sheeran was the lucky performer who got to sing for the striking stars as they made their way down the runway, looking perhaps more resplendent than they ever have before, despite them both having several Victoria’s Secret shows under their cinched-in belts.
Last year, Candice Swanepoel had the pleasure of showing off the Fantasy Bra, the 2013 version costing an incredible $10m.
Golden girl: Candice Swanepoel rocked out on stage in the Gilded Angels segment, revealing her fantastic figure for all to see
Goddesses: The models were glittering in gold for the opening part of the show, their honed bodies on full display in the stylish lingerie.
Faces of Angels, bodies of goddesses and the lingerie wardrobe of dreams! Those Victoria’s Secret models really do have it all.
There’s not much that could top off an outfit like THAT, but Candice Swanepoel’s metallic sandals hit just below the knee for the most dramatic of impacts.
Beauty! Karlie Kloss dazzled as she made her way down the catwalk, clutching onto her hard-earned wings
In previous years, former Angel Heidi Klum has had the honour of wearing the Fantasy Bra on three separate occasions, and the likes of Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks and Karolina Kurkova have worn it twice.
The long-time Angels were joined by their fellow stars and other models at the highly-anticipated show, including the likes of Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls and Jourdan Dunn.
As well as Brit star Ed, the other singers on the evening were Taylor Swift – a relative veteran of Victoria’s Secret after having performed last year – and US superstar Ariana Grande.
The show was, as ever, a wild and spectacular display of the iconic lingerie brand’s wares, on some of the most beautiful models in the world.
Angelic: Candice was proud to display her enviable body to the audience at Earl’s Court, as she turned at the end of the runway
True beauty: Behati Prinsloo beamed as she got to the end of the runway during her segment
Spectacular setting: There’s no denying the amount of staging that went into the show, everything matching the girls’ outfits flawlessly
Gold star: Doutzen Kroes worked her stuff, revealing her endless pins on the stage in strappy gold sandals
It was rumoured that British model Suki Waterhouse would be a surprise addition to the litany of global models in force for the show, but those were quickly quashed as she clearly wasn’t there.
And Cara Delevingne along with best friend Kendall Jenner were also said to be there, but they were no-shows, instead having been seen in Salzburg, Austria to present creations by designer Karl Lagerfeld for the Chanel fashion house during the Chanel Metiers d’Art show.
The Victoria’s Secret event was a fantastic display of endless legs, slender curves, gorgeous tans and glossy hairstyles, as well as the intricately designed items – bustiers, bras, basques, stockings, suspenders, knee high boots, towering stilettos and plenty of other dramatic additional items of clothing – from the American underwear giant.
Exotic traveller: Invoking an ethnic and worldly vibe, the models then strutted down the runway bedecked in feathers and tribal-style items
Elaborate: As well as their racy lingerie, the models covered up in various other items – cropped jackets, over the knee boots and pom-poms
Doing her Brit: Jourdan Dunn was one of the lead stars of the Victoria’s Secret Show, giving it her all
And, as ever, the stars of the show were adorned with the brand’s renowned angel wings, adding to the magical theme of the evening.
Tuesday evening’s extravaganza was a burst of colour and fun, the models decked out in black, white, gold, pink, orange, green and pretty much every other shade under the sun at the London-based show, the first time it has been staged in the British capital.
Blonde models, including Candice Swanepoel, Karlie Kloss, Lily Donaldson and Behati Prinsloo, walked the runway in stunning gold ensembles for the show’s opening segment entitled Gilded Angels, the backdrop of the stage matching them flawlessly.
They, along with their fellow models, were drenched in golden lighting as they sported various creamy lingerie sets and, of course, metallic gold wings.
On their endless pins, they wore knee-high boots with a metallic detailing, enhancing the sheer luxuriousness of the entire aesthetic.
Powder Puff Girl! Lily Aldridge looked cute but inherently sexy in her pom-pom fluffy attire
Bedroom chic: The models were glorious in their skimpy underwear and fluffy embellished high heels, elongating their endless pins
And, unlike Fashion Week catwalk shows, the models beamed and grinned their way across the stage, making it clear this was one of the best events in which to take part.
According to a preview of their costumes, the Gilded Angel theme would see the darlings as ‘goddesses drenched in gold leaf’ and that certainly proved to be a true statement on the night.
Karlie looked gorgeous in her ensemble, which included wings draped down over her arms, while the likes of Candice and Behati wore more traditional costume wings that gave them the appearance of angels… just as promised.
Mystical: Jourdan Dunn led the way during the Fairy Tale segment, changing from Angel to Fairy… but a very sexy one
Cinched-in: She wore a stunning silver corset that showed off her slender and shapely waist, and pink fairy wings
Magical wonderland: Hozier performed during the Fairy Tale segment against a stunning mystical backdrop
The second phase of the 2014 show saw the women kitted out for the Exotic Traveller theme, in a funky array of colourful garbs, each with red as the main colourway.
Ed performed his song Thinking Out Loud as the models meandered back and forth down the runway in pom-pom and feather-adorned pieces.
But the main part of the second segment was the arrival of Adriana and Alessandra, who came out in their $2m Fantasy Bras.
The third section of the catwalk extravaganza – Dream Girls – saw Taylor Swift take to the stage to perform, alongside her best friend Karlie Kloss.
The stars of the show wore dreamy, pastel-shade items, pom-pom shoes and carrying powder buffs for the soft, boudoir-style runway moment.
Fun and funky: For the University of PINK segment, the stunning models covered their slim and muscular bodies in more fun and colourful items and sporty underwear
Over the knee funk: They teamed leopard print lace-up knee boots with their tiny items of lingerie and pom-pom jackets
Working it: All the models clamoured together on the stage, showing off their tremendous figures and equally-stunning outfits
Doutzen Kroes was glorious in her bra top and knickers, while covering up in a sheer, peach dressing gown with delicate patterns, as her Dream Girls co-stars donned a selection of fantastical underwear in pale shades.
Amazonian model Lily Aldridge donned the most unique pair of angel wings ever: they were fashioned out of what appeared to be large, fluffy powder puffs, which barely kept her covered as she wore a sheer, white body.
Taylor herself matched with the models, covering her own slender, leggy frame in an exquisite peach silk dressing gown.
Following Dream Girls, Hozier took to the stage to perform his mega-hit Take Me To Church for the fantasy-themed Fairy Tale portion of the show..
Surprise! Alessandra Ambrosio helped close the show in her tiny black lingerie and extravagant black feathered wings
Lacy and racy: The models closed the show in their sexiest outfits of the night, giving onlookers quite the display
Here come the girls! Balloons fell from the ceiling as they made their final lap of the catwalk
Fun and games: The models couldn’t have looked happier in their skimpy, revealing outfits as they stalked the stage
British model Jourdan Dunn led the way in her mythical ensemble, adding glamour with her pale pink multi-layered fairy wings on her back, as she posed in a silver and white basque.
The fifth part of the evening saw Ariana Grande perform her global smash hit Problem for the most fun segment, entitled University of PINK.
Models wearing more sporty underwear were also kitted out in funky items, such as garish (yet sexy) knee-high lace-up boots with leopard print patterns up the side, and graffiti-painted blocked wings with fluffy pink edges.
The sixth and final part of the evening was the raciest of all, the models donning lacy black little numbers for the sexy conclusion.
As they stalked the catwalk collectively one last time, they were covered with white balloons for the big finale.
Victoria’s Secret isn’t a secret anymore: The final roll call of beautiful models was a show of the fashion brand’s sexiest basques, bras, stockings and suspenders
