The highly anticipated prequel Monsters University film is hitting theaters later today!

I have just got home from watching the preview night show at The El Capitan and I had to write this blog!

Writers Robert L. Baird & Daniel Gerson

photo 4-3I was lucky enough to book a preview night showing of Monsters University at The El Capitan a few months back.

Due for release later today I got the chance to see it first last night (20th) at the famous Disney Theatre in Hollywood.

photo 3-4It was seriously the best cinema experience I have ever had. I have been to the El Capitan previously but this show was outstanding. We were greeted with Mike Wazowski 3D glasses, an exhibit of Monsters inc/MU figures and photo props.

photo 5-4Free popcorn in a Monster Uni tub and a drink, we entered the theatre and it was full!

So many fans dressed up in Monsters merchandise or costumes they made, it was a great crowd of all ages!

photo 1A Disney Radio host took to the stage to draw prizes from the raffle, he then introduced the writers Robert L Baird and Daniel Gerson.

Heres a short video I took.

The show then began with a Prep Show of cheerleaders dancing, singing and throwing each other high up..

The El Capitan pre show glitz and Mike & Sully themselves!

It was a really amazing way to start the show!

The film was incredible! So inspiring and went way over my high expectations. It will definitely inspire my AW13 collection!

It was super funny and I recommend it to all! My favourite scene was this, Little Mike.

monsters_university_trailer_japaneseI also love the fact Charlie Day is a character, He is too funny!

The Exhibit had OTIS college fashion collections inspired by Monsters Uni.

Blue Umbrella_1

Just before the film, a short Pixar film called The Blue Umbrella, directed by Saschka Unseld was shown.

It was so beautiful and heart warming, shot beautifully with a really stunning result.
